Hunts Recruitment is seeking a full time Residential Children’s Support worker for a full time, permanent vacancy in Poole - Dorset.
You will be supporting within a short term service for children and young people; stabilising and preparing them for permanent family homes.
- Shift pattern: 9am-10.30pm, sleep in, 6.30am-10.30pm, sleep in, 6.30am-9.30AM - Home 2 days on - back-to-back followed by 4 days off 4 days off.
- Salary: Dependent on qualifications, ranging from £13.00 - £14.50 per hour + sleep in payment of £50 per night. This averages to £32,000 - £34,600 per annum
You will be offering therapeutic care for children aged 4 to 11 years. The service supports young children who have experienced trauma, particularly within caregiving relationships, through highly nurturing, family-style homes registered with Ofsted. You will be working for a company owned and run by experienced social work qualified Directors, with previous experience in managing successful children's social care businesses. You will be working for a highly regarded, knowledgeable and experienced team who have the qualifications and experience to provide you the training and support you need, to be able to flourish within this role.
Our clients Therapeutic Re-Parenting Pathway provides assessment, intervention, and transition planning, with the ultimate goal of helping children move into long-term family life—through foster care, adoption, kinship, or reunification.
Who we are looking for:

You will ideally have experience working with children in foster care, residential care or education settings

You will preferably hold a qualification Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

You will ideally hold a full UK drivers license however this is flexible for the right candidate
