Hunts Recruitment is looking for a Female Support Worker for a residential home in the Tonbridge and Malling area, who support 7 adults with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviours.
Salary: £23,264 - £27,944 per annum
Job type: Full time, permanent - 39 hours per week
Shifts: Monday - Sunday including earlies, mids, lates and waking nights
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is a must for this position.
No two days are the same but your day might look like this:

Supporting individuals to be engaged in all day to day living activities, including making full use of their community and beyond.

Supporting individuals with social activities, and connecting with family and friends.

Keeping the home clean and fresh, and going shopping.

Providing, and encouraging, personal care.
Key Skills Required:
Whilst previous experience is desirable, it is not essential as training is provided, however you must have:

A compassionate, empathic and patient approach, with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, or the ability to demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills for basic forms, financial administration

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the people we support, their families and colleagues

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and digital systems used in social care settings

Willingness to provide personal care whilst supporting individuals to maintain privacy and dignity

Willingness to learn non-verbal communications methods e.g. Makaton
-
To be able to support the people we support to prepare ingredients and cook a range of healthy meals to maintain their dietary health

Willingness to undertake specialised training e.g. positive behaviour support

A full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle
