Hunts Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker for a residential team near Totton.
You will be supporting children in care who have experienced trauma, neglect and/or abuse. Due to their experiences, challenging behaviours are displayed within this role
Job Type: Full time, permanent
Hours: 45 hours per week and up to 2 sleep in duties
Salary: Basic of £32,760 per annum plus additional sleep in payments taking your salary up to £39,848 per annum
Drivers: Highly Preferred
You will need previous experience of working with children or young people to be considered for this role.
Your job role will be:
- To contribute and participate in providing quality care and life experiences to vulnerable young people
- To help provide a therapeutic, structured and relaxed environment in which the young people can develop and enjoy
- To facilitate good communication within all levels of the staff team.
- Identifying the service user’s emotional, physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs and make appropriate decisions for action in consultation with the Management Team.
- To supervise and share meal times with young people, to encourage a positive attitude towards food and appropriate behaviour at mealtimes.
